Kali Temple Festival and Pudga

Every Festival has it's temptations

and it's Katakali dancers

and it's spectators

loud and louder must it be

No real Temple Festival in Kerala without elephants, even if it's a big discusion about people's security and elephants' wellbeing... I think that any festival would be not the same if there were no elephants....

Deity Kali gets a biiiiiiig present in a form of a horse? carried by houndreds of men 3 times around the Temple

Aren't they gorgeous?

Papanasham beach in Varkala is a place for last body journey and in February you can make a pudga (offerings) for your deceased loved ones

To complete the ceremony you need to wash yourself in the sea

A sign with a running boy and a handbag hmmm...?
